LED Street Lighting This project goes in line with the social infrastructure improvement plan and the city beautification project in the State of Qatar. The project scope includes 32 expressways that will cover 49,477 poles, 107,993 luminaires.

Technology advancement in LED lights production will most likely yield lower prices per unit while HPS bulbs are becoming more obsolete, thus it is possible that the replacement cost would be higher than LED in the future.

LED technology will allow to reduce electricity consumption by at least 52%. The CMS system will also reduce electricity cost by additional 14% (in present values.)
