The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced the closure of Al-Sadna International Group in the Birkat Al Awamer area of Doha for one month due to a violation of Article (6) of Law No. 8 of 2008, regarding consumer protection and its executive regulations. The violation involved the storage and distribution of counterfeit and non-compliant personal care products. 

This action comes as part of the Ministry’s intensive inspection campaigns to monitor market and commercial activities in the country, with the aim of regulating prices and identifying violations, counterfeit goods, and products that do not meet approved standards.

In this regard, the Ministry emphasized that consumer protection is one of its main activities and businesses that do not abide by its laws and regulations would be firmly dealt with. 

The Ministry is intensifying its inspection campaigns to curb illegal practices and refer violators to the relevant authorities and take the necessary action.
