Minister of Commerce and Industry meets with representatives of the Qatari Businessmen Association
His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, met today with representatives of the Qatari Businessmen Association. The meeting formed part of the Ministry’s regular engagement with the business community. The two sides discussed future plans, the private sector’s key priorities and the challenges it currently faces, as well as proposals aimed at further enhancing Qatar’s business environment.
During the meeting, His Excellency listened to the representatives’ views and observations on a number of matters related to commercial and investment activities. The discussions also addressed appropriate measures to streamline procedures, improve services and foster conditions conducive to business growth and expansion.
His Excellency reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting and empowering the private sector as a key partner in achieving sustainable economic development. He noted that direct engagement with business leaders and consideration of their proposals contribute to the development of policies and procedures, greater efficiency within the business environment and enhanced competitiveness.
The meeting also addressed key economic and commercial developments affecting the business environment, along with the Ministry’s future plans and initiatives to support the private sector and strengthen its ability to keep pace with developments and achieve further growth and expansion.
The meeting forms part of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s efforts to enhance the competitiveness of the national economy and consolidate its partnership with the private sector, in line with the Third National Development Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030.
