Company Types
The legal forms of commercial companies in the State of Qatar and their article numbers in the Commercial Companies Law.

|---|---|---|
| General Partnership | 21 | Formed by two or more natural persons who are jointly liable, with all their assets, for the company’s obligations. |
| Limited Partnership | 45 | Comprises general partners who manage the company and limited partners liable only up to their contributed shares. |
| Joint Venture | 53 | A concealed company that does not affect third parties, has no legal personality and is not subject to publication procedures. |
| Public Shareholding Company | 62 | Its capital is divided into equal tradable shares, and a shareholder is liable only to the extent of their capital contribution. |
| Private Shareholding Company | 205 | Established by at least five founders, does not offer its shares for public subscription, with capital of no less than QAR 2 million. |
| Partnership Limited by Shares | 209 | Comprises two groups: general partners liable with all their assets, and limited partners liable only up to their shares. |
| Limited Liability Company (LLC) | 228 | From one up to fifty partners; each partner is liable up to their share, and the company issues no tradable securities. |
