The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with the General Authority for Competition of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, organized a specialized virtual workshop on the prior implementation of economic concentration transactions, with the participation of a number of Ministry employees.

The workshop was held as part of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two parties and aimed at strengthening cooperation and the exchange of expertise and knowledge in the field of competition protection.

Organized by the Competition Protection Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Saudi General Authority for Competition, the workshop covered several topics aimed at enhancing understanding of the risks associated with the prior implementation of economic concentration transactions and clarifying the distinction between permissible preparatory measures and prohibited prior implementation.
