Business Development Department
The responsibilities entrusted to this department
1.

Implementing the executive regulations governing entrepreneurship and SMEs.
2.

Implementing the executive regulations governing public-private partnerships.
3.

Supporting and fostering public-private partnerships.
4.
•
Proposing policies and programs to develop the private sector, encourage local investments, and attract foreign capital (in coordination with other ministries).
5.
•
Preparing studies related to business development, internal trade, and foreign trade relations.
6.
•
Proposing modern mechanisms to develop institutional procedures for the business and investment ecosystem.
7.
•
Preparing guidelines in the business and investment field, and participating in updating the public services database.
8.
•
Promoting entrepreneurship to foster SMEs and providing technical and administrative support to empower them.
9.
•
Coordinating between governmental and non-governmental agencies to incentivize youth investment in SMEs.
