Ministry of Economy and Commerce invites commercial companies to regularize their status
 The deadline to make amendments while being exempt from fees expires on January 1, 2018.
 
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has invited commercial companies, which are subject to the provisions of the Commercial Companies Law number 11 of 2015 and Law 25 of 2005, amended by Commercial Register Law No. 20 of 2014, and that have branches operating under trade names different than the main company or conducting activities other than those specified in the memorandum of incorporation or articles of association of the main company to come forward to regularize their status.
 
The deadline to regularize their status while being exempt from fees expires on January 1, 2018.
 
The decision to extend the deadline for requesting amendments comes in line with the strategic objectives of the Government of Qatar to facilitate business, enhance the performance of the national economy, and bolster its competitiveness on both the local and international level.
 
The measures are also aimed at improving the contribution of the private sector to economic development and reflect the Ministry’s keenness to provide support for commercial companies in a bid to bolster confidence in Qatar’s business environment and enhance its partnership with the private sector, leading to the promotion of a diversified and sustainable competitive economy, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
 
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce urges commercial companies to visit the Ministry’s headquarters in Lusail Building, 2nd floor, tower (B), to make amendments.
