HE Mr. / Sultan Bin Rashid Al-Khater, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Business and Trade, attended the Business Forum that was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on Thursday, November 24, 2011, at the Ritz – Carlton Hotel – Doha. The forum constituted a wide opportunity for the two parties to expose the business projects of both countries,and discuss the ways of possible cooperation between them, in addition to displaying the areas of common interest.
 
During his speech in the forum’s opening session, HE the undersecretary welcomed the Korean Ambassador, the Chairman of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the delegates and the attendants from both countries, and described the experience of the State of Qatar in overcoming the major challenges that faced its economy, and the successful policy regime that protected, expanded and diversified its economic base.

HE affirmed that the Ministry of Business and Trade, in conformity with the fast pace of development overwhelming the country, managed to improve its services in such way that, business community members can find an encouraging Business environment, characterized by flexible and easy procedures. Through such mechanisms, business people can easily obtain licenses and enjoy all other facilities such as, Investment expansion Advice, and other expert commercial support services such as training or legal and commercial advice that may enhance a fast establishment of companies.

Al- Khater pointed out that all these achievements were only possible due to cooperation and coordination between the Qatari Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as, the Qatari Business Community with the Ministry of Business and Trade, clarifying that the outcome of such endeavors is to maintain the flourishing fruitful economic, commercial and investment relations with all friendly countries, especially the Republic of Korea.
