The Department of Consumer Protection in the Ministry of Business and Trade, through its continuous inspective campaigns that cover all the commercial outlets in the market, aiming to ensure the traders compliance with the laws and decisions related to the Consumer Protection, detected counterfeit Spare Parts holding well-known Brands.
It was detected that some companies selling Automobiles Spare Parts had introduced some Counterfeit Spare Parts used for Trucks, branded “ Eirling ” and “ Sachs ”, selling them as original ones, which constitutes a violationof the Article No. (7) of the Law No. (8) for the year 2008 on Consumer Protection, which stipulates : The supplier is committed during introducing any commodity to clearly indicate on its cover or packaging, the type, nature and the components of the item, and all the data related to it, as determined by the executive regulations of this law, and to state whether any danger may be caused by the use of the commodity. It is strictly prohibited to include any fake or misleading information.
The inspectors of the Consumer Protection Department detected the cited commodity, took the available quantities in the center, issued a sanction and started a criminal case in the issue.  
The Ministry of Business and Trade, represented by the Department of Consumer Protection, stresses all suppliers, traders and business owners practicing commercial activities in the State, that it will apply the strict sanctions and violations set by the laws and decisions related to the Consumer Protection to protect the competition and prevent any form of commercial fraud and monopolistic actions.
