His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Commerce & Industry and Acting Minister of Finance, met today with a high-level delegation from the American state of Indiana currently visiting the country, headed by Mr. Eric Holcomb, Governor of Indiana.

During the meeting, the convening parties discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the commercial, investment and industrial fields. They additionally touched on the opportunities available to increase trade exchange and develop investment and industrial relations between the two countries.

It is worth noting that the State of Qatar and the USA have close economic and trade relations that have been positively reflected on the volume of trade exchange between the two countries. The volume of trade exchange between Qatar and the USA amounted to around US $5.3 billion in 2020, and the United States ranks as Qatar’s fifth trading partner.
