H.E. Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Commerce and Industry, met today, Wednesday, February 3rd, 2021, with H.E. Mr. Almas Aidarov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the accompanying delegation currently visiting the country.
Discussions touched on the bilateral relations between the two countries, and joint cooperation in the trade, investment, and industrial fields, as well as means to bolster and develop this cooperation.
Talks also focused on bilateral trade policies and the efforts exerted by both sides to confront the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the meeting, H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Industry highlighted the economic policies that Qatar had adopted and the measures it had taken to abolish restrictions on foreign investment and create investment opportunities for companies looking to invest and operate in Qatar.
Discussions also touched on coordination mechanisms to bolster bilateral trade and enhance cooperation in priority sectors that would serve the developmental aspirations of both countries.
