His Excellency Mr. Sultan Bin Rashed Al-Khater, undersecretary of the Ministry of Business and Trade and chairman of the Qatari delegation, met with His Excellency Jose Carlos, director general of trade and investment at the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Trade; His Excellency Walid Al-Mousawi, undersecretary of the Iraqi Ministry of Trade; and His Excellency Martin Vavra, ambassador of the Czech Republic in Kuwait.
 
They discussed a number of economic issues of common concern, including ways to encourage investments in developing countries, and the challenges facing sustainable development. The meetings took place on the sidelines of UNCTAD XIII, which Qatar hosts at the Qatar National Convention Center from 21 to 26 April.
