HE Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Minister of Business and Trade, met on Sunday morning 17/03/2013, with Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Shahin Mustafayev and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting they exchanged views and discussed aspects of cooperation between the two friendly countries and the ways of enhancing the bilateral relations, in addition to  trade relations and several issues of common interest.
It should be noted that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries had been amounted to more than  QAR 11 million in 2011, and the value of Qatari exports, mostly inorganic chemical products, were estimated at more than QAR 10 million while Qatari imports from Azerbaijan were valued at nearly  QAR 1.1 million.
The two countries are linked by a number of trade agreements including an  economic, trade cooperation and technical cooperation agreement, an agreement on  the protection and encouragement  of mutual investments, an air transport agreement and an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion.
