Minister of Economy and Commerce meets with DACRA CEO and President
H.E Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassem bin Mohammed Al-Thani, Minister of Economy and Commerce, met on Monday, April 2, 2018, with Craig Robbins, CEO and President of DACRA. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the minister’s participation in the economic tour which kicked off in Miami.
Discussions touched on the prospects for joint cooperation across numerous fields as well as investment opportunities in Qatar. For his part, DACRA CEO and President Craig Robbins discussed measures to promote joint investments in engineering services. DACRA is a US company specialized in the architectural development of business, residential and mixed-use projects, including South Beach, Lincoln Road and Alison Island.
The U.S is one of the most important Qatar’s trading partners with a volume of $6 billion and is the primary source for Qatari imports.  In 2017, 16% of Qatar’s imports came from U.S.
More than 658 American companies currently operating in Qatar of which 117 fully owned U.S companies while more than 5,000 Americans currently work with the private sector in Qatar.
