Ministry of Business and Trade Closes Shop for Detergents Sale

The Ministry of Business and Trade, and through its inspection campaigns made by the Consumer Protection Department to monitor the activities of all markets to ensure their compliance with the laws and regulations,
Had issued the decision of the administrative closure of Al Ijadah Trading Company and its Stores due to committing fraud represented by putting packages on the detergents holding false statements and descriptions, as well as changing the detergents’ names and countries of origin,
which is considered as fraud represented by describing a good in a manner that contains false and deceptive statements which constitutes a contravention of the provisions of Article No. (7) of Law No. (8) of 2008 on consumer protection.
