Ministry of Commerce and Industry announces recall campaign of SPAR Belgian “spread-up” Choco-Hazelnut Spread

Doha- Thurs 23 June 2022:

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with Qatar’s SPAR dealership, has announced the recall campaign of SPAR Belgian “spread-up” Choco-Hazelnut spread, produced on 28 Feb 2022, as the factory discovered the remnants of almond nuts in the product, which cause allergies in some people.

The Ministry said the recall campaign comes to assure immediate stop of using the product and return it temporarily to the vendor, stressing that it will follow up on the withdraw of all the quantities subjected to contamination from all selling ports across the country.

The Ministry said that it will coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the recall campaign and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary actions are carried out.

The Ministry urges all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department, which processes complaints, inquires and suggestions through the following channels:
