The Ministry of Commerce and Industry celebrated Qatar Family Day, commemorated annually on 15 April, by illuminating its headquarters in Lusail in green.

Through its participation, the Ministry aims to enhance family cohesion and stability, highlighting its importance in the community and society at large. It also aims to share in community development as a means to enhance the values of solidarity and unity among family members.

The idea of Qatar’s dedicated Family Day first emerged on the side-lines of the World Family Conference hosted by the State of Qatar and organised by the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in 2004, to mark the 10^th anniversary of the International Year of the Family. The official Qatar Family Day has been celebrated annually since 2011 in the country.
