For violating the Ministry’s circular regarding regulating business of commercial car maintenance and repair stores in cities and commercial streets

The Ministry of Commerce & Industry has announced the closure of a car repair shop in the Al Gharrafa, due to its non-compliance with public and private requirements, and its violation of the Ministry’s circular regulating business of commercial car maintenance and repair stores in cities and commercial streets.

This measure forms part of the Ministry’s efforts to monitor and regulate markets and commercial activities across Qatar, and to assess the degree of compliance with laws and regulations governing commercial activities, in a bid to uncover and crack down on violations.

The Ministry stressed that it would neither tolerate any negligence in terms of meeting obligations stipulated in Law No. (5) of 2015 on Commercial, Industrial and Similar Public Shops, and Street Vendors, nor would it allow violating the circular regulating business of commercial car maintenance and repair stores in cities and commercial streets.

The Ministry assures that it intends to intensify its inspection campaigns to control violating practices. Any party who violates laws and Ministerial decisions will be referred to the relevant authorities, who would respond appropriately against violators to protect consumer rights.

The Ministry urges all citizens and residents to report any violations or infractions related to registration and commercial licensing, or noncompliance with preventive and precautionary measures through the following official channels:
