Ministry of Commerce & Industry Organizes Workshop on Mechanisms for Combating Harmful Practices in International Trade

The Ministry of Commerce & Industry, in cooperation with the Office of the Technical Secretariat to combat harmful practices in international trade of the GCC States, organized a two-day workshop over December 6-7 focused on mechanisms to combat harmful practices in international trade. The event featured the participation of a number of authorities affected by the issue.

The workshop highlighted the definition of some terms related to harmful practices in international trade, the types of these actions and the World Trade Organization principles and agreements pertaining to detrimental behavior incommercial activities.

The workshop also touched on the procedures for filing a complaint and investigation to serve the local and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)industry. It additionally featured the mechanisms of protection against harmful practices in international trade and the GCC industry under the Unified Law for Anti-Dumping and Compensatory and Preventive Measures for Countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, and its implementing regulations.
