Ministry of Economy and Commerce announces recall of 5th generation Lenovo Laptop ThinkPad X1 Carbon over possible overheating of battery due to an unfastened screw

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, in collaboration with Al Mana Computer Services W.L.L. and Qatar Computer Services W.L.L., dealers of Lenovo products in Qatar, has announced the recall of 5th generation Lenovo Laptop ThinkPad X1 Carbon over possible overheating of battery due to an unfastened screw.
 The ministry said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to ensure that suppliers follow up on product defects and repairs to protect consumers.
The ministry has urged consumers to refrain from using the product and contact the company to do the necessary.
The ministry said that it will coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.
 
The Ministry urges all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department, which processes complaints, inquires and suggestions through the following channels:
