Qatar-Bosnia-Herzegovina Joint Committee on Economic, Trading and Technical Cooperation Meets

The Qatar-Bosnia-Herzegovina joint committee on economic, trading and technical cooperation held its third session on 20 – 21 May 2013 within the context of enhancing ties of cooperation between the two countries and as per provisions of the agreement on economic, trading and technical cooperation which was signed between the two countries in 1998.
HE sheikh Jassim bin Abdulaziz al Thani, the Minister of Business and Trade chaired the Qatari side to the meeting whereas Bosnia-Herzegovina side was headed by Mr. Mirko Sarovic the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations.
During their meeting, the two sides reviewed ties of cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment and other related areas. They also highly praised the positive development in the economic and trade relations between the two countries.
The two sides agreed as well to take the necessary steps for further development in economic relations and increase in the volume of trade exchange between the two countries including facilitating the flow of goods, services and investment between the two countries.
They reiterated as well their joint desire to intensify and shore up cooperation in the activation of what has been reached agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two sides.
The two sides also agreed to establish a working team to explore and identify specific opportunities for enhancing bilateral cooperation in the economic field and trade between the two countries, as well as formulating and presenting projects planned to continue to support the potentials.
