The Department of Public Transport Affairs in the Ministry of Business and Trade has taken part in the three-day Qatar International Transport and Logistic Service Exhibition ”Trans-4”, opened today by HE / Sheikh Abdul Rahman Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of Municipality and Urban Planning, at the Doha Exhibition Centre.
After the inauguration, HE Sheikh Abdul Rahman Bin Khalifa Al Thani toured the pavilions of the exhibition and was briefed on the prominent projects carried out by the displaying companies. HE visited the Department of Public Transport Affairs where he listened to an explanation given by Mr. / Nasser Kaddar , Director of the Department, regarding the Department’s sections and specializations.
More than 50 world, Gulf and Qatari companies working in transport, railways and cargo sector are taking part in the five thousand square meter event, along with numerous governmental parties in Qatar,in addition to a broad participation by the local companies implementing a number of major projectsin the State in this sector.
The Trans-4 Exhibition acquires key importanceas it displays several projects and opens many investment opportunities, and allows to examine the future strategic plans in the State of Qatar in the fields ofland, sea and air transport networks.
The exhibition is the first and sole of its kind in Qatar which displays the state of the art technologies , information technology, systems , products and services associated with the sea, land and air transport and logistic cargo or freight services.
