Qatar participates in GCC’s Commercial and Industrial Cooperation Committees’ meetings as well as the meeting of Ministerial Committee for Gulf Standardization affairs

The State of Qatar participated in the 64th meeting of the GCC Commercial Cooperation Committee, the 50th meeting of the GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee and the meeting of the GCC Ministerial Committee for Standardization Affairs, which were attended by their Excellences the Ministers of Commerce and Industry of the GCC countries. The meetings took place on Thursday, May 11, 2023, in Oman.

The meetings featured discussing a number of topics and issues listed on the agenda, in addition to taking the appropriate pertaining decisions.

During the ministerial meeting of the Commercial Cooperation Committee, the GCC Entrepreneurs’ Platform was inaugurated. It aims at supporting entrepreneurs, particularly small and medium-sized businesses owners, in GCC countries by introducing them to investment opportunities in the region, allowing them to grow their businesses and market their products and services, and facilitating communication between entrepreneurs as well as between investors, financiers, and clients in the GCC countries.

In addition, the consultative meeting was conducted between the Ministers of Commerce and Industry, and the heads of the Chambers of Commerce in GCC member states.

At the consultative meeting, topics and recommendations addressed by the heads of the GCC Chambers of Commerce were reviewed, and suitable decisions were made.
