The Department of Consumer Protection Monitors 79 Violations during September 2012

In the context of the permanent efforts made by the Ministry of Business and Trade, represented by the Department of Consumer Protection, to monitor the markets and the economic activities in the State, in order to ensure the consumer profit, the CP department has revealed today a number of violations committed during the month of September 2012. The violations have been amounted to 79 violations, including:

As for the complaints received by the Department of Consumer Protection, and which have been amounted to 260 complaints, they have been dealt with and transferred to the responsible competent departments.
Moreover, the Consumer Protection Department had issued the decision of the closure of 3 Shops for Cosmetics, Make Up and Salons’ Products Selling, for one month, due to offering and selling expired products, which constitutes violation of the Article (6) of the Law No. (8) on Consumer Protection.
