The Ministry of Economy and Commerce issues 81 violations

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has carried out intensive inspection campaigns at retailers in various regions of the state to monitor the compliance of the suppliers with the obligations and regulations regarding the practice of commercial activities.
The inspection campaigns, conducted by inspectors from the ministry, resulted in 81 violations; varied between the expiry of commercial licenses, the practice of non-listed activities in the license, activities that do not meet the mentioned conditions in the license, and activities that are not listed in the license, and utilizing part of the shop as housing, as well as violations related to the brand name on the billboard which does not meet the commercial name in the record. It is worth mentioning that violations were issued from such shops where they have been notified to amend their status in commercial licenses and records.
In turn, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce urged all traders and shop owners to abide by the applicable regulations and laws regarding the practice of commercial activities. Additionally, the ministry calls on all traders and shop owners to access the systems and regulations regarding the practice of commercial activities, by visiting the website of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, www.mec.gov, qa in order not to be held accountable for any legal questioning or violations.
