Under the Patronage of HH the Amir…Qatar Economic Forum to Launch June 20

Under the high patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the second “Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg” will take place from June 20-22, 2022, in Doha, convening heads of state and more than 500 business leaders to discuss ways to equalize the global economic recovery.
The 2022 program will spotlight solutions to some of the most pressing global challenges, including the misalignment between jobs of the future and the workforce of today; tangled supply chains; a looming debt crisis; and widening global inequalities. The discussions aim to contribute to a clear roadmap for the next phase of global economic growth.
Commenting on the significance of this yearsQatar Economic Forum, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry for the State of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al-Thani said: “Making conscientious decisions about the future of the global economy is a priority for governments and businesses, who are navigating a shifting financial landscape, new technologies, and a progressive focus on energy security.” His Excellency added that: “The Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg is an opportunity for dialogue that supports our countrys strategic directive to produce impactful growth, whilst encouraging forward-looking economic cooperation, with a view to the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.” For his part, Chief Executive Officer of Bloomberg Media Scott Havens noted: “In light of the global economic downturn caused by COVID-19, business leaders across the world need to take responsibility for creating an inclusive and sustainable recovery.
