Ministry of Commerce and Industry Launches Ramadan’s Discounted Goods Initiative Covering Over 1,000 Products

18 Feb 2025

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced the launch of the Discounted Goods Initiative, offering more than 1,000 products at reduced prices, in liaison with major retail markets countrywide. The initiative will run until the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

The initiative reflects the Ministry’s commitment to easing the cost of living for the citizens and residents. By launching the program earlier than previous years, the Ministry aims to ensure that discounted products are available in advance, allowing consumers ample time to take advantage of the offers before Ramadan begins.

The initiative includes a wide range of essential consumer goods, ensuring affordability during a period of high demand. These products cover food items such as flour, sugar, rice, pasta, chicken, oil, and milk, as well as non-food essentials like tissues, aluminum foil, cleaning supplies, and detergents.

The Ministry will closely monitor retailers to ensure compliance with the approved discounted prices and encourages consumers to shop responsibly, while making the most of these discounts. Furthermore, the Ministry urges the public to actively report any pricing violations or concerns through its official communication channels:

Social media: @MOCIQATAR

By implementing this initiative, the Ministry continues to support consumer welfare while reinforcing its role in regulating markets and ensuring fair pricing.
