About the Initiative
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development and Family and Qatar Tourism through its marketing arm, Visit Qatar, announced the launch of the second edition of “Purple Saturday 2026.”This national initiative aims to promote the inclusion and empowerment of persons with disabilities and provide a more inclusive shopping experience.
Objectives
Through this effort, the participating entities seek to create an accessible shopping environment that enables persons with disabilities to access services and products independently and with ease, while reinforcing the principles of inclusion and social responsibility.
Benefits Offered
Participating malls and retail outlets will provide accessible facilities and services, along with special offers and privileges designed to enhance the shopping experience for persons with disabilities.
Participation and Registration
All commercial establishments are invited to participate in the second edition of the Purple Saturday Festival 2026.
