Ministry of Commerce and Industry shuts down 4 shops in AL Kheesa and Rawdat Al Hamam for two weeks to a month

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has announced shutting down 4 shops in AL Kheesa and Rawdat Al Hamam, for violating article (6) of law no. (8) of 2008 on consumer protection. The violations were represented by using and storing expired foods for (Al Duha Cafeteria), (Tea 24), as each establishment is shut for 30 days valid from 28 May until 26 June 2024. As for (Shabab Alaziziya Saloon), and (Istanbul Business Barbershop), the violations were represented by using and storing expired products, as each establishment is shut for 15 days valid from 28 May until 11 June 2024. This comes within the framework of the Ministry’s inspection campaigns that are implemented to supervise markets and businesses in the country in aim of regulating prices and exposing any violations and fraudulent, copied, and non-conforming products. In this regard, the Ministry affirms that it will encounter any violator of the obligations stipulated in law no. (8) of 2008 on consumer protection and its implementing regulations. The Ministry is intensifying its inspection campaigns to monitor violations and refer the violators of Ministerial laws and decisions to the competent authorities.
