The Ministry of Commerce and Industry Imposes Tariffs on Imports of Certain Types of Car Batteries Originating from or Exported by Korea and India

As part of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry's efforts to support the competitiveness of national products and combat harmful practices in international trade, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Qassim Al-Abdullah Al-Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, has issued decisions to impose final anti-dumping duties on the State's imports of certain types of car batteries originating from or exported by the Republic of Korea and the Republic of India.

As a result, His Excellency issued Decision No. (21) of 2024 imposing final anti-dumping duties on the State's imports of electric accumulators (car batteries) with capacities ranging from (35) to (115) amperes originating from or exported by the Republic of Korea.

In addition, His Excellency issued Decision No. (22) of 2024 imposing final anti-dumping duties on the State's imports of electric accumulators (car batteries) with capacities ranging from (32) to (225) amperes originating from or exported by the Republic of India.
