H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Thursday, January 16, 2025. During his visit, H.E. met with H.E. Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to discuss bilateral relations, explore ways to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, and industry, and examine opportunities to expand partnerships across various sectors. H.E. Minister of Commerce and Industry expressed his pleasure in holding this significant meeting, emphasising the shared commitment to strengthening Qatar-Saudi relations, advancing industrial cooperation, and achieving sustainable economic development between the two nations. In a separate meeting, H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, met with H.E. Faisal bin Fadhil Alibrahim, Minister of Economy and Planning of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Discussions focused on bilateral relations and joint cooperation opportunities in key sectors. His Excellency highlighted the shared goals and aspirations of Qatar and Saudi Arabia to bolster bilateral ties. H.E. stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to achieve economic integration in areas of mutual interest, increase trade volumes, and deepen strategic public-private partnerships. Discussions also focused on recent updates on the activities of the Economy, Trade, and Industry Committee of the Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council. Ongoing initiatives were highlighted, including the development of private sector exports, logistical cooperation, and electronic data exchange systems aimed at facilitating trade flows, unifying procedures, and enhancing bilateral trade between the two nations.
