

H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, paid an official visit to the United Arab Emirates on Friday, January 17, 2025. During his visit, His Excellency met with H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy of the UAE, where they reviewed the distinguished economic relations between Qatar and the UAE, and discussed potential areas of cooperation in trade, investment, and industry. H.E. Minister of Commerce and Industry conveyed his pleasure in holding this significant meeting, praising the depth of Qatar-UAE relations and their continuous development, reflecting the strong ties between the two nations. H.E. emphasised the importance of fostering collaboration in the trade, investment, and industrial fields to serve the shared interests and prosperity of both countries. His Excellency also met with H.E. Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment of the UAE, to explore investment opportunities across various sectors. The discussions focused on enhancing regional cooperation within the Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Growth (IPSEG) framework, supporting economic growth in the Gulf region. Separately, His Excellency met with H.E. Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of the UAE. They discussed the economic and industrial relations between Qatar and the UAE, explored opportunities for further collaboration in these fields, and addressed several topics of mutual interest. His Excellency highlighted the shared visions and aspirations of Qatar and the UAE to strengthen mutual relations and stimulate cooperation. He underscored the need to intensify efforts to achieve an economic and industrial integration that advances shared goals and interests.
