

His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, met with a number of international government and business officials, on the sidelines of his participation at the World Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland.
His Excellency met with H.E. Mr. Ville Tavio, Minister of Foreign Trade and Development of the Republic of Finland, where the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of trade and investment, as well as a number of topics of mutual interest.
His Excellency also met with H.E. Mr. Maros Sefcovic, Commissioner for Trade, Economic Security, Institutional Relations and Transparency at the European Union. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the European Union in the fields of trade and investment, and discussed ways to develop mutual relations and partnerships. The two sides also tackled enhancing trade exchange and discussed new opportunities for cooperation that contribute to diversifying markets and improving the presence of Qatari products at international markets, whereby supporting Qatar's position as an international business and investment hub.
Separately, His Excellency met with H.E. Mr. Daren Tang, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization, to discuss pathways to enhance cooperation in the field of intellectual property, and exchange views on the topics on the agenda of the forum.
The Minister of State also participated at a discussion session under the theme: “Future Pathways for Logistics: Resilience, Innovation and Global Connectivity” held at the “Invest Qatar” pavilion.
