04 Mar 2025

The National Product Week, launched by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, is receiving significant engagement from shopping malls and retail outlets nationwide. These entities have dedicated display spaces for Qatari products and introduced promotional elements highlighting their quality and variety. This response reflects the commercial sector’s commitment to supporting local products and strengthening their presence in the local market.

The initiative aims to showcase the quality of Qatari products, enhance their market position, and highlight their added value in driving sustainable economic development. Additionally, it provides new opportunities for local suppliers to connect with buyers across various sectors and fosters greater collaboration between the public and private sectors.

Shopping malls and retail stores have actively participated in the initiative by decorating stores with celebratory branding, setting up dedicated display spaces for Qatari products, and using visually appealing promotional materials such as banners, display stands, and digital content on in-store screens. Participating outlets include Al Meera, Lulu Hypermarket, Al Baladi, Mega Mart, SPAR, Family Food Centre, Carrefour, Talabat, Rafeeq, Marza Hypermarket, Al Rawabi, Saudia Hypermarket, Snoonu, Masskar Hypermarket, and Monoprix.

The Ministry’s interactive campaign supporting national products has also witnessed strong engagement. The campaign features exhibits of key Qatari industries and showcases local industrial achievements on digital display screens across major shopping malls and landmarks in Qatar, including Mall of Qatar, Place Vendôme, Tawar Mall, Velero Mall, The Pearl and Gewan Island, West Walk, Msheireb Downtown, Souq Waqif, Katara, and Al Jaber Towers.

The Ministry reaffirms that this initiative is part of its strategy to support local production by providing effective marketing platforms and fostering partnerships between local producers and retail outlets, further reinforcing the presence of Qatari products in the market.

National Product Week will continue until March 1, 2025, attracting strong consumer interest and participation. Visitors to shopping malls have shown increasing enthusiasm for the quality and variety of local products, underscoring their commitment to supporting national industries—especially as the holy month of Ramadan approaches.
