The General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council announced that the Permanent Committee for Combating Harmful Practices in International Trade for the GCC States has started a sunset review investigation into the anti-dumping duties imposed on cement and clinker imports into the GCC, originating from or exported by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This measure comes in accordance with the Unified Law on Anti-Dumping, Countervailing and Preventive Measures of the Gulf Cooperation Council and its Executive Regulations. The Permanent Committee decided to accept the complaint and initiate investigation procedures.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry invites all stakeholders, including companies, manufacturers, importers and exporters, to submit their requests for hearings to present their perspectives, provide evidence or share relevant information concerning the investigation and its outcomes. Requests must be submitted in writing to the Technical Secretariat Office before 15 April 2025.
