The Ministry of Commerce and Industry held a ceremony to honor its employees for their key role in winning the first place and the Golden Award at the 2024 Qatar National Cybersecurity Drill, organized by the National Cybersecurity Agency, and bringing together over 170 government institutions.

The recognition highlights the vital role of qualified personnel in strengthening national cybersecurity readiness. It also acknowledges the outstanding performance of the Ministry’s participating team, whose dedication and professionalism in addressing digital challenges reflected adherence to international best practices in the field of cybersecurity.

During the ceremony, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Hassan Al-Malki, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, presented the Golden Shield to the Information Systems Department. He also awarded certificates of appreciation to the department’s employees who contributed to this distinguished achievement, which stands as a testament to the Ministry’s effective strategy for advancing digital transformation and enhancing institutional cybersecurity.

The Ministry reaffirms its continued commitment to developing technical capabilities and improving cybersecurity systems to better address future challenges. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry had secured the Golden Award in the 2024 National Cybersecurity Drill.
