The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has issued Administrative Decision No. (30/2025) ordering the administrative closure of iFix Trading and Maintenance Company, an Apple-authorised service provider, for a period of one month. The company was found in violation of Article (16) of Law No. (8) of 2008 on Consumer Protection and its executive regulations.
The decision was taken in response to repeated violations and multiple substantiated complaints against the company relating to delays in providing spare parts and in carrying out maintenance services, constituting a clear breach of the applicable laws and regulations in the State.
The Ministry affirmed that this measure falls within its ongoing efforts to strengthen market oversight and ensure compliance by service providers with laws and regulations. It stressed that it will not tolerate any violations that may infringe upon consumer rights or negatively affect the business environment in the country.
