The Ministry of Commerce and Industry hosted a specialised seminar on enhancing quality management in the auditing profession at the Ministry’s headquarters. The event brought together auditors and industry professionals to discuss best practices and latest standards.
The seminar highlighted current quality management practices in auditing, showcasing practical examples and real-world scenarios that demonstrate audit excellence and ensure strict compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
The initiative is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to develop the national auditing profession by enhancing auditors’ competence and performance, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of auditing practices.
Discussions focused on the International Standard on Quality Management, which aims to improve auditing processes and implement robust quality management. Topics included financial statement audits, assurance engagements, related services, and process quality reviews, alongside the adoption of integrated quality management systems, continuous improvement, and monitoring mechanisms.
The seminar also highlighted the positive impact of compliance with quality standards on audit services, including building client trust and strengthening firms’ credibility and market presence.
