H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs, met with Sir Chris Bryant, M.P., Minister of State at the Department for Business and Trade of the United Kingdom, on Wednesday, 29 October 2025, on the sidelines of the ministerial committee meetings of the GCC Trade and Industrial Cooperation Committees held in the State of Kuwait. 

The meeting addressed a range of issues of mutual interest, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, investment and industry; and reviewed progress towards finalising the Free Trade Agreement with the United Kingdom. 

Discussions further highlighted Qatar’s successful economic policies in supporting the private sector, as well as the incentives, legislation, and promising investment opportunities offered to attract investors and business leaders to the Qatari market.
