The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in association with the Qatar Cancer Society, organised an interactive workshop titled ‘Breast Cancer Awareness’ at the Ministry’s headquarters, marking the International Breast Cancer Awareness Month observed each October.
The initiative reflects the Ministry’s commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to promoting health awareness among its female employees. The session underscored the importance of early detection and its role in improving recovery prospects and preventing the disease.
The event focused on enhancing understanding of breast cancer and highlighting the importance of regular screening in reducing its spread. It addressed key topics such as an overview of the disease and related statistics, risk factors, early signs and symptoms, and preventive measures. Participants were encouraged to undergo routine check-ups to detect any changes early, thereby improving recovery prospects and supporting overall well-being.
