Ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry conducted extensive inspection campaigns across retail outlets and consumer complexes nationwide.

The initiative focuses on ensuring the availability of essential commodities, monitoring supply chains, overseeing price movements, verifying compliance with declared prices, and preventing monopolistic practices — reinforcing consumer protection and maintaining sound market conduct.

As part of its continuous regulatory mandate, the Ministry is overseeing market performance and ensuring adherence to Law No. (8) of 2008 on Consumer Protection and related commercial regulations, particularly during high-demand seasons.

Inspection teams continue to operate under structured oversight plans, in coordination with relevant authorities, to take legal action against violators. The Ministry also urged citizens and residents to report any breaches in support of market supervision and consumer protection.
