His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, met with the U.S. Secretary of Commerce and a number of senior U.S. officials during an official visit to Washington, D.C.

During the visit, His Excellency held meetings with Mr. Howard Lutnick, U.S. Secretary of Commerce; Mr. Jacob Helberg, Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment; Mr. Jeffrey I. Kessler, Under Secretary of Commerce for Industry and Security; Mr. Michael Kratsios, Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy; and Ambassador Jeffrey Goettman, Deputy United States Trade Representative.

The meetings reviewed ways to strengthen economic, trade, and investment relations between the State of Qatar and the United States, in addition to discussing a number of issues of mutual interest.
