




H.E. Dr. Ahmad bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs, participated in the 29th Arab-German Business Forum, where the State of Qatar was featured as this year’s Partner Country. The forum was held from 17 to 19 June 2026 in Berlin, Germany, and was organized by the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Ghorfa), in cooperation with Qatar Chamber.
In his remarks during the forum’s opening session, H.E. the Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs underscored the importance of advancing economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Arab countries and the Federal Republic of Germany. He noted that the forum provides an effective platform for expanding public-private partnerships and exploring new opportunities across trade, investment, and innovation, in support of growth and sustainable development.
On the sidelines of the forum, H.E. Dr. Ahmad bin Mohammed Al-Sayed met with H.E. Katherina Reiche, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy of the Federal Republic of Germany. During the meeting, both sides reviewed the course of economic, trade, and investment relations between the two countries and discussed ways to further strengthen them across various fields of mutual interest.
The meeting also addressed opportunities to expand joint cooperation in a number of vital sectors, including advanced industries, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, healthcare, logistics, and renewable energy. The two sides further discussed prospects for enhancing partnerships between the private sectors of both countries, in a manner that supports economic growth and increases trade and investment flows.
Both sides emphasized the importance of building on the distinguished economic relations between the two countries and continuing coordination and joint action in a way that serves mutual interests and supports economic development, particularly in light of the continued growth in bilateral trade relations.
H.E. the Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs also met with Dr. Levin Holle, Economic and Financial Policy Advisor to the Federal Chancellor of Germany. During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to develop trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, in addition to a number of topics of mutual interest.
H.E. Dr. Ahmad bin Mohammed Al-Sayed also met with the presidents of Arab chambers and heads of Arab delegations participating in the forum. The meeting featured an exchange of views on ways to develop trade and investment relations among countries of the region and advance them toward greater economic interconnection and market integration.
H.E. the Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs also met with a number of prominent Qatari business leaders and German chief executive officers. The meeting discussed opportunities to expand partnerships between the business communities of the State of Qatar and the Federal Republic of Germany, and to explore new areas for cooperation and investment.
This year’s Arab-German Business Forum was held under the theme “Beyond Transformation: Intelligence, Innovation, and Impact,” coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Ghorfa). The forum witnessed broad participation from senior government officials, business leaders, and investors from Arab countries and Germany.
The forum also witnessed the active participation of H.E. Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Chamber and First Vice President of the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Ghorfa), as part of efforts to consolidate economic and trade relations between the State of Qatar and the Federal Republic of Germany, and to further develop channels of communication between the business communities of both countries, opening broader prospects for cooperation and investment between Qatari and German companies.
