The State of Qatar participated on Sunday, June 21, 2026, in the ninth extraordinary meeting of GCC Undersecretaries of Ministries of Industry, held in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The State of Qatar’s delegation was headed by His Excellency Mr. Saleh bin Majid Al-Khulaifi, Assistant Undersecretary for Industrial Affairs and Business Development at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The meeting brought together Their Excellencies the Undersecretaries of Ministries of Industry from GCC member states, the Assistant Secretary-General for Economic and Development Affairs at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and the President of the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting.

Participants discussed a number of topics on the agenda, including the Omani-Kuwaiti proposal to address the localization criterion according to industrial sectors, as well as the executive plan for the lists of goods subject to collective protection. Appropriate decisions were taken in this regard.
