The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has announced the introduction of an electronic single-window platform for the provision of several services. To coincide with the launch of this digital platform, these services will be suspended at all government service centres.

This strategic decision aligns with the Ministry’s commitment to supporting government initiatives in digital transformation, streamlining service processes, and promoting investment and trade within the country.

The Ministry has clarified that the services to be suspended at government service centres will include the following: adding a new branch, changing the trade name, changing the trade name and the economic activities, amending individual data, amending the business activity, changing the location, changing the manager, and renewing the commercial license.

It is worth noting that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has launched a comprehensive suite of intelligent electronic services through its single-window platform. This initiative represents a significant advancement in public interactions, digitising procedures, enhancing services for individuals and businesses, improving the efficiency of government services, and leveraging technology effectively to support the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030 in developing a knowledge-based economy.
