Ministry of Economy and Commerce invites owners of expired commercial agencies to renew them

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has called on owners of expired commercial agencies to renew them by submitting the renewal application and the necessary attached documents to the Ministry between March 1 and March 30, 2018, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Lusail Building, 2nd floor, tower (B).
 
In the event that renewal applications are not submitted during this period, the Ministry will write off the agencies from the register of commercial agents in accordance with the provisions of Article (20) of Law No. (8) of 2002 on the Organization of Business of Commercial Agents, which was amended by Law No. (2) of 2016.
 
Law No. (2) of 2016 amends certain provisions of Law No. (8) of 2002 on the Organization of Business of Commercial Agents regarding fighting monopolies and promoting the provision of high-quality goods and services at competitive prices.
 
Law No. (2) of 2016 amends certain existing legal articles and introduces new ones, to the benefit of all parties, by increasing competitive opportunities and opening new horizons in the Qatari market, thus promoting an attractive environment that drives the national economy to achieve more success and cements Qatar’s global position on various economic indicators.
