Ministry of Economy and Commerce organizes a workshop on the ‘Art of Stress Management’

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce organized a workshop on the ‘Art of Stress Management’ on Tuesday as part of its social responsibility efforts.
 
The workshop was attended by a large number of officers and ministry employees and featured lectures presented by mentors from the Family Consulting Center and Qatar Charity.
 
The workshop focused on familiarizing employees with stress management techniques and on equipping participants with essential tools and skills to better allocate time resources with the aim of raising performance levels, maximizing productivity and ensuring the delivery of high quality services to the public.
 
The workshop featured discussions on daily pressures faced by individuals and how to address them, in addition to offering a range of psychological tests to assess the level of stress experienced by an individual and to identify types of stress, including family, social, marital and physical stress.
 
Additional types of stress such as anxiety and decision-making difficulties were addressed during the workshop as well as the sources of stress, whether internal or external, effects, symptoms, consequences and treatment.
 
The workshop featured practical training on how to manage time resources, set life goals, and determine priorities as well as how to achieve these goals.
 
Discussions concluded with a questions and answers session on how to attain desired goals and tasks. Participants also provided solutions during practical training on stress management.
