The Ministry of Economy and Economy will hold a two-day ceremony on April 26 and 27 entitled “Creativity beyond Borders” to mark World Intellectual Property Day – which aims to enhance the protection of intellectual property rights and to promote its adoption on a large scale.

The celebrations will feature a seminar that will take place on April 26, 2016 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel with the participation of Qatar Scientific Club, Qatar University, Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development as well as a number of innovators, experts and those of whom are interested in the field of intellectual property rights.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce will also organize a two-day exhibition on April 26 and 27 at Landmark Mall to familiarize the public with the various aspects of intellectual property rights.

The Ministry invites the public to attend the exhibition to take part in World Intellectual Property Day celebrations in order to learn and increase their knowledge about the importance of intellectual property rights.

World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated on an annual basis since the year 2000 with the aim of spreading awareness about the concept of intellectual property rights protection among copyright holders or those interested in innovative, artistic or literary areas of intellectual property rights, encouraging and enabling them to protect their inventions.
