Ministry of Economy and Commerce unveils “Halal Livelihood” program on its YouTube channel

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has announced the launch of the “Halal Livelihood” program that will be broadcast on its YouTube channel throughout the holy month of Ramadan. The program is the latest out of a series of initiatives launched by the ministry to mark the holy month under “the theme #Aqal_Min_Al_Wajeb,” the Arabic for “#the_least_we_can_do.”
 
The program aims to raise awareness about halal living under the Islamic faith and to highlight the value and importance of professional and vocational work in elevating states and societies.
 
The program sheds light on the importance of seeking halal earnings as defined by Islamic law and tackles the importance of work for people. The program also gives answers on the reasons behind the existence of humans and their mission on this earth and explains the true meaning of trusting in Allah.
 
The Halal Livelihood program will be presented by Abdallah Al Bouainain on Monday and Thursday following noon prayers throughout the holy month on the ministry’s YouTube channel. The first episode will commence on Thursday the 9th of June, 2016. The ministry invites the public to follow the “Halal Livelihood” program on its YouTube channel under the name MEC_QATAR.
 
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce had unveiled a variety of initiatives to mark the holy month of Ramadan 2016. These initiatives come within the framework of the ministry’s efforts to provide community-oriented services, designed to cover all aspects of the ministry’s activities in terms of organization, partnership and support. These initiatives include sheep subsidies and price reductions on consumer goods in addition to organizing a number of awareness forums and campaigns on trade in Islam.
 
The ministry has also launched the discounted consumer goods initiative, Al Baraka corporate social responsibility program and a campaign to bolster the productivity of bakeries as well as another campaign to regulate gold and jewelry businesses in addition to monitoring commercial activities and markets.
