His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al–Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, attended the opening ceremony of the World Economic Forum, held in the Swiss city of Davos, on May 22-26, 2022.
On the side-lines of the forum, His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Industry shall hold a number of meetings with a number of ministers and senior officials from the participating countries and international organizations.
This year, the forum sheds light on a number of important issues and topics under the slogan ‘Preparing for the post-Covid era’. It tackles six main axes, including ways to: enhance global and regional cooperation; achieve economic recovery; build healthy and equitable societies; safeguard climate, food, and nature; lead the industry transformation; and harness the power of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
About 2,500 leaders and experts from around the world will participate in this year’s edition, including more than 50 heads of State and government, 1,250 leader from the private sector, and up to 100 global innovators and technology Pioneers.
